The Carr brothers' path to becoming Doctors of Veterinary Medicine was paved with invaluable life lessons. These experiences taught them how to value, motivate, and empower people, even in the face of adversity.

 

Dr. Kacey Carr spent two years with Teach for America, where he helped to bridge the educational gap in disadvantaged communities. This experience provided him with insights into human behavior and he became the first of sixty-eight corps members to achieve their projected student achievement goals. Meanwhile, Dr. Kody Carr honed his skills and compassion at a top veterinary hospital in Chicago, where he also had the opportunity to serve overseas.

 

The brothers continued to excel throughout veterinary school. Dr. Kody's natural leadership abilities propelled him to become a top-performing veterinarian upon graduation. Dr. Kacey also distinguished himself, earning the prestigious Merck Veterinary Leadership Award and the Clinical Student of the Year Award.

 

Following graduation, Dr. Kacey practiced medicine, performed advanced surgeries, and led teams at over 40 animal hospitals. His unique insights into human and animal behavior enabled him to build strong, efficient teams that consistently exceeded expectations in animal care, client satisfaction, and revenue generation. Dr. Kody also served at both corporate and private practices, gaining a deep understanding of veterinary business management.

 

Both brothers were frequently partnered with underperforming hospitals, where they revitalized struggling teams and, in some cases, led them to perform in the top 1% of corporate-owned veterinary hospitals nationwide. Dr. Kacey further developed his teaching and mentoring skills as a mentor for externs and new doctors at a large corporate veterinary company and as a surgical instructor for a veterinary technical institute.
